Boy I'm glad Scott got a chance to vent a little bit. It should be noted that I gunned down a lot of people last night in a 2 minute fury of activity while apparently in a spawn zone. It should be kept in mind, however, that at the time I had about 1 and a half minutes experience on the map and was running around the map with no regard for my own safety as usual, trying to get familiar with it when I ducked behind the wagon after taking a couple of shots at someone who then followed me around the wagon when I killed him, a rare event. While I was reloading, another guy came around the corner and I shot him, and started reloading again. Someone jumped over top of the wagon and all I could see was uniform because he landed on top of me so I unloaded again before he unloaded on me, and at that time another uniform jumped right over the wagon virtually on top of me blocking my view of the whole map so I unloaded on him. After about 4 or 5 people who jumped over the wagon obviously looking for me it occurred to me that, in fact, they hadn't jumped over the wagon looking for me but everybody after the 2nd kill was probably spawning there right on top of me, cuz all I could see was uniform. That's when I uttered the famous words to Tobanator, "Oh sh**, Scott's going to be pissed." So then I started to run out of the area and damn if Wicked wasn't up there on a stone ledge in front of the wagon and if I didn't kill him he'd sure kill me running past him, so I shot him square in the back the best way I know how. Then probably Scott "landed" (read "spawn") right beside me while I was going to run out and so I off'ed Scott cuz he sure would have killed me if I'd kept running away from the wagon, and there was Wicked again standing on some stone wall again, so I shot him square in the back the best way I know how. Finally I let someone turn around and shoot me as that was the only way I was going to get out of there.
At any rate, anyone who has played with me for 2 years knows that I have been murdered while spawning by people who knew exactly what they were doing at least 50 times for every one kill I got last night, which for most of the time I thought I was barely surviving people hunting for me with the intent to kill.
I played the map again 2 or 3 times during the night ("a.m.", technically) and every time people were victimized in that same spot and everyone was getting really pissed. That is a small map and a well placed sniper can wreak havoc all across the battlefield and piss everyone off, and after all, isn't that why we play? Well, since the migration off PGR2 it seems that's what happens every night.
Don't argue with an Idiot. He'll drag you down to his level and then beat you with experience.
