    Site upgrades (Planned)

I'm getting rather annoyed at the forum software I am currently using.  It is extremely hard to customize.  I am currently looking at other forum solutions out there.  I am leaning towards a PHP type of system that has thousands of custom modifications available all over the web.  My biggest pain is going to be the conversion process and getting everything moved from one system to another.  There is no conversion for the site I am using, I'd have to figure that out on my own.

In the end, I am hoping to put a better look, feel and use of the site.  It will allow me to do other customizations MUCH easier.  I hope to get a test system set up soon, once I do, I'll give out the link so you can play with it and help test it out, provide feedback, etc.

I am currently looking at the link below.  That will be the initial forum look/feel, but I know I can do lots of other things once I get that base system in place.  I am still looking at/for some other solutions.  I want to stick with PHP and prefer to have a MS SQL backend database, but I might have to consider mysql as a potential backend if the main forum software is superior look/feel.  Anyways, click the link and tell me your thoughts on basic forum look and feel.

I don't know much about how the forums work or the customization of them but I know my friend from Microsoft showed me this program.

I looked at that previously, I just found the interface to be rather ugly  LOL.

I agree that the better looking the site is, and the more we as members can customize our profiles it will make it more appealing to new members.

Aren't the xbox forums done in community server?  I think theres is pretty good looking, not sure how much you can customize it, but it does look good.
